A TCU Photoshoot (Texas Christian University) in Fort Worth, Texas
I’m happy to share a glimpse of a TCU Photoshoot in Fort Worth Texas. Texas Christian University is one of the most sought out universities within Texas known for its values and high education. It has a beautiful campus full of tradition and iconic landmarks. TCU stands out to all who visit. Honoring their mascot called Super Frog (who is a horned frog) is a must on campus. The student body is often seen in their recognizable purple colors bringing out the Texas Christian spirit within. Capturing seniors through my lens on this campus is always a true delight.
The fountain within the TCU courtyard, also known as Frog Fountain, is an iconic landmark inside this stunning campus. The sun in the afternoon hits the back of the fountain with full force, yet you’ll see graduates lined up for miles (ok not quite, but sometimes it feels like that) waiting for a chance to get captured in front of this beautiful water spray of joy. This is the main place where the students ‘pop the top’ of their champagne to toast their upcoming graduation achievements. You’ll see evidence of this all over the concrete in front of the fountains. Sticky stains with an occasional bottle top that had not been retrieved as well as the periodic pieces of confetti left behind which someone snuck into their photoshoot. It makes me wonder, each time I’m there, just how many students have graduated in total from TCU and have used this specific spot to commiserate their memories.
I always like to get the longest line out of the way first before moving on so we don’t have any stress. This is why I hit the fountain first. From there I will snap more shots throughout the commons, and we will then move towards the stadium hitting some more highlights along the way.
Above is in front of the Schollmaier Arena which was on our way to the football stadium. The below pic is within the TCU football stadium. Many of the female students wear purple boots to coordinate with their school colors. I’ve seen the most creative and beautiful boots on this campus!!
TCU’s mascot is the horned frog aka ‘Super Frog’ which the student body represents with this horned hand symbol shown above. I usually end my photoshoots at the front entrance of campus with a view of the schools gorgeous and stately Sadler Hall known for its grand pillars and front steps.
I’m not sharing the hundreds of photographs which we took, but hopefully these will give you somewhat of an idea of a TCU senior photoshoot. Go Frogs!
